Academic Merit Scholarships
Atanas Bliznakoff Scholarships
The “Atanas Bliznakoff” Scholarships for Student Excellence are awarded to full-time students enrolled in the initial stage of studies across all faculties at “Ss. Cyril and Methodius University” in Skopje, who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievements in their previous educational cycle. In addition, these scholarships are granted to individuals who exhibit remarkable accomplishments and a strong drive for personal and professional growth, particularly those facing financial constraints that hinder their pursuit of higher education.
Konstantin Stojanov" Foundation Scholarships
The "Konstantin Stojanov" Foundation at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje scholarship amounts to 12,000.00 MKD per month to eligible students.
The Fulbright Student Competition for the 2026-2027
This initiative is a collaborative effort between the U.S. Department of State and the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia. The Fulbright Foreign Student Program enables graduate students, young professionals and artists from abroad to study and conduct research in the United States. The Fulbright Foreign Student Program operates in more than 160 countries worldwide. Approximately 4,000 foreign students receive Fulbright scholarships each year.
For Students with a Single Custodial Parent
The Rector's Office of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, during its 293rd session held on 20.9.2024 year, adopted a decision to reduce the tuition fee by 50% for first-cycle students whose custodial rights are held by a single parent.
Merit Scholarship Award
The Senate of the University "Sts. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje, at its 12th session held on 27.9.2024, adopted a Decision to award 240 scholarships, distributed 10 for each faculty, intended for students enrolled in the first year of first cycle studies at the faculties of the University "Sts. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje, in the academic year 2024/2025.
Ministry of Education and Science Scholarships
Undergraduate Scholarships to Foreign Students
The Ministry of Education and Science of The Republic of Macedonia announces the Call for Applications for students who will study at public Universities in the Republic of Macedonia.
The scholarship covers:
- tuition fees;
- visa and residence permit fees;
- return air fare from the applicant’s home country;
- accommodation and food (full board) in the University dorms;
- additional monthly allowance of 5000 MKD (approximately 120 USD);
- free intensive course for learning Macedonian.
Macedonian Government Scholarship
This program offers full scholarships to international students, covering tuition, visa fees, return airfare, accommodation, and food, as well as a monthly allowance.
